About the woman behind The Nursing Tree

Ruthe Robles

I have always enjoyed working with people. In 2006 I received my Associate in Science for Physical Therapy Assistant at Loma Linda University. Since then it has been a pleasure to help the patients I treat reach their personal goals of independence. I still currently work with a variety patients in outpatient and inpatient settings to improve their quality of life.

It has been a desire of mine for quite a while to help women and their babies. It all started when I was having difficulty latching my first born in the hospital and at home. An IBCLC was able to come to my home and help me latch my baby. The help at home made a world of difference to me and my baby. I am grateful for the love and support I received at that time in my life. I have been able to successfully breastfeed all of my children and I am grateful for the love and support I have received to be able to breastfeed as long as I did.

Lactation support has always been a passion of mine. I have studied human lactation for 10 years. I have become certified through CAPPA as a Certified Lactation Educator. Recently I decided to add to my skill set to serve mothers better, now I am a Certified Lactation Counselor. I provide in home visits to local mothers, breastfeeding classes and support groups to provide mothers with the tools for success in their breastfeeding relationship. Mothers deserve all the help in the world, it is an important job raising those babies!
